when we're inbetween UARs...

...we like to ride - a lot.

So on Saturday, a few of the crew are headed up into them hills for a 9 day mountain bike adventure. We riding the Colorado trail - 500 miles from Denver to Durango (99% off road).

The goal is to give high-fives to the MTB gods, ride lots of new trail, and enjoy some time with good friends. If you'd like to follow our journey, you can do so here
It's a cool site with all the techno bells and whistles: GPS tracking, Twitter, Blog...all that and then some.

We'll scope out the trail for you and give you all the info you'll need to do it yourself next year.
Wish us luck and pray for sunshine!

Fort Fun lives up to its name

Just as predicted the RIO GRANDE Urban Assault Ride was a killer time. Beer, Bikes, and Big Wheels (and tacos) a plenty!
If you missed it, here's a story from the Coloradoan and photo gallery to boot!

Here are the results and the official photos will be up in a day or so. Big THANKS to everybody that came out for the fun, El Monte, New Belgium, Clif Bar and of course the Ft Collins Bike COOP for helping with all the awesome volunteers!

Scenes from Austin

We're finally getting some photos in from the Austin New Belgium Brewing Urban Assault Ride. Man-o-man...what a blast it was!
A whole lot of styrofoam
Sol and Nathan (AKA Boris and Yefginy) - the proud owners of two New Belgium Cruisers
...From the bottle's perspective - otherwise known as beer goggles

100 custom UAR beach balls to play with
Sorry guys - you can't keep them
big wheels - yay. We see lots of big wheel photos and this fellow is quite happy that we took the brakes off the one he's on.

I totally did the headdresses. They must have Cherokee roots like me.You're actually supposed to put your whole head through the hole in the basket - but somebody didn't tell this guy. Oh well.
Just a couple of chicks in lederhosen

Kreutz Photography took these photos and they'll have photos of you up shortly.

In other news...Bruno comes out tomorrow. I seriously doubt it'll be as incredible as Borat, but I'm sure there will be plenty of akward homophobia. We'll be there at the 1st showing.

In other other news...the Big Wheel Rally is in Boulder this weekend. You could win a team entry in the UAR if you're lucky.

more news...Mr Swift is tying the knot this weekend. Here's a photo of his unofficial bachelor party bike ride.
More news...we sent out the June UAR newsletter yesterday. You didn't get it? Well, here it is.

That's all for now folks. Best of rides, Josh

P.S. It was rather pretty up in Breckenridge for the FireCracker 50...

Results are up!

For the 1300+ that took part in the biggest bike race in TX....here are the numbers.

If you missed a checkpoint - it's a 10 hour penalty. Harsh, huh?

And here's another news story
.

Thanks Austin. We truly love this city.
