This photo was in National Geographic. It won a contest that Energizer batteries hosted.

It's mesmerizing to me. Click it for full viewing.

Sorry for the radio silence.

Here's something to keep you entertained since they've been entertaining us:

Family Guy Empire Strikes back

What goes up, must come down...

Happy Thanksgiving

Played a great set opening for Wolfmother in Denver

After seeing Pirate Radio (yep - it's a true story), I can't get this song out of my head

I distinctly remember rolling around on the floor when I saw this and I think this was my official introduction to one of my favorite bands - WEEN!

Whoa, that's a BIG dog.

There you have it...enjoy.

Best shark attack I've ever seen

I watched parts (only the best parts) of Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus today.

It included this classic scene which I've conveniently found on YouTube....

I bet more people have seen this youtube clip than actually watched the movie.

To give the movie some credit, it does include:
  • Debbie Gibson at her finest
  • Quality lines like, 'I don't know what's down there, but it's gotta be really big'
  • A love scene where Debbie is turned on about an Asian scientist's story about trying to save a dolphin
  • ....well that's about as far as I got.
You have to admit, it's pretty darn cool to see a prehistoric shark pluck a 747 out of the air. You never know...it could happen now that the ice caps are melting.

What's the secret to being the best Cyclocrosser in the world?

Off-season training at the New Belgium Urban Assault Ride!
This is Katie Compton, one of the fastest women racers in the world. She and her husband (Mark Compton) decided to take on a new challenge with the Denver UAR in 2008. Navigating the city streets and picking up bottle caps with oven mitts while being shot with super soakers turned out to be a bit more of a challenge then they thought.

Katie is usually at home here...
Where she is virtually unbeatable. Katie leads the World Cup in Cyclocross.
Hopefully we'll see you and Mark back again for some summer time cross training. I'll be happy to give you two a handful of extra beer tokens to congratulate you on your success.

While cruising ebay for this and that, I found some interesting sales technique.

Used bib shorts - worn by this guy...
Those crazy Spaniards.
